In Auburn, nurseries are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Alabama, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Check the listing for hours, seasonal closures and Google rating before you go.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–5 pm. Note that it does not open on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (334) 759-7211. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, thepottingshedauburn.com.

I went looking for a indoor plant for beginners that are not poisonous to animals and the employees were very helpful. They showed me some good options. I also picked a pot and water collector thing and I love it and was so excited to purchase my first plant. They also answered the few questions i had and repotted the plant I purchased, which was bird’s nest. 😁 Their set up is also really nice, very cute store. I would recommend.

If you are searching for any kind of unique plant or any plant you think you might have to order online... check here first!! They have a very large variety of all plants. Ivy's, flowers, trees, succulents, ferns, herbs they have it all. The prices on some things seemed to be pricy. Although for what I consider to be unique plants the prices seemed decent. Inside there is bird seeds, cute yard and house signs, birdfeeders, vegetable seeds, garden accessories, handmade pots, soaps, art, and local historic photos. If you like any of those things you will love browsing around this shop. Staff is friendly and helpful too.
